MEET THE FOUNDER
Dr. Andrea Arteaga DACM, LAc
I am committed to inspiring others toward better health. I have a passion for living a balanced life, one that is in accordance with nature. It is my belief that our wellbeing is dependent upon how we interact with the world around us.
This understanding led me to Taoist philosophy and inspired me to pursue a doctoral degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 2011 I traveled to China where I furthered my studies and experienced first-hand a collectivist understanding of health.
I joined the department of pain management in 2018 at Naval Medical Center San Diego as an acupuncture clinician for active duty military. In addition, I provided qi gong instruction for the Functional Rehabilitative and Restoration Program (FRRP) located at Naval Amphibious Base, Coronado.
In 2021 I earned a doctorate in acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Health and Science. The focus of my research was the integration of evidence-based medicine with traditional and indigenous healing practices from around the world.
I am a certified qi gong instructor and a healing community trauma-trained acupuncturist through Acupuncturists Without Borders. My dream is to combine my love of nature and animals with this specialized training to provide a beautiful healing experience for the community.
